It is so satisfying to wake up and to harvest a tomato heart in my balcony garden! Totally worth all theplanting and watering efforts. One of the nice things about living at the lake Constance (and there are thousands of amazing things about it!) is that the neighbour countries are so very exciting. With no problems you can do a day trip to Austria to enjoy their wonderful "Grüner Veltliner" wine in the Bregenzer forest; to France to eat Éclairs where they taste best; to Switzerland for a peaceful walk in the mountains...
The last is what we did last Sunday. We went to the amazing Appenzellerland, the idyllic home of the famous mountain cheese. No matter where you look you feel like you are inside of a classy advertising film for tasty something made of milk of happy cows feeding green grass on the juicy hills under blue skyies far apart from any civilisation. Here are some impressions of that day. #switzerland #travel #countrylife Last Saturday we got the keys from our new appartment and started to renovate it. It keeps me so busy & happy at the same time. Finally a place that I can arrange to my taste! Well, more or less to my taste as we only rent it. I like lots of things about our new appartment: the Bauhaus mood & style, the big patio-terrace that offers a lot of space for my future secret garden, and the possibility to win space for my own walk-in closet! Wow!!!
There are things that I will be missing in our new flat though. Here is one of them: sunrise over the lake Constance as seen out of the window... We spent this Sunday in Meersburg, a beautiful old town just across the sea. Actually those were just a couple of hours we spent there but crossing the sea, the good local wine, the dreamlike scenery and the peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a real holiday.
